Banner

Today I worked with Picasa. I selected a few pics and created a collage. I created 3 such collages, opened then in 3 windows as pictures, took a snapshot using 'prt scr', edited the complete picture in ms-paint. Then I uploaded the pic on http://photobucket.com. I used the link from there to put it on the template in blogger. It took me lot of time getting it on the right place. The resultant is http://xubayr4.blogspot.com

It is Amazing

Today I saw in a news paper an article about the competition between Google and Microsoft. There was also the mention of the legal face of the default Microsoft has set for the search engine in its new version of Internet Explorer. I found it really amazing to find this thing catching up with the news paper so slowly. I mean, it has been creating so much of hype on the internet and the newspaper has published it so late. Is it because it is not of much concern to the people (but it was such a big article on the business page)? Or is it because of the poor awareness of this section of the press?

Freeservers getting worse

It was really disheartening to see Freeservers remove the custom page. Now there is no flexibility in creating webpages in our desired format. I can't have pictures at places I want, I have been limited my the available formats and they are more or less useless.

The problem with transferring the work to other providers is the lengthier extension they give to the page address.

Very bad Freeservers

Freeservers has removed the adsense adverts I had put on the pages I created using their services. This was done by them so that they can have their own ones. May be they fear I may take a part of their revenue.

And I am still waiting for Google to make Google Pages more flexible.

Some Serious Thinking Required Now

All these days I couldn't find anything new to put on Google Pages. I can definitely pin up a few more things to the Download Page but I want things that are not easily available on the internet.

Even the fact that Google Pages do not support adverts from Adsense still suffocates me. They need to make it more open. There is even no way of uploading our own pages onto it (after creating them using packages like Dreamweaver). Hope the final version works out with this.

I am seriously thinking about something that is new to show here in these pages. I want something innovative yet simple enough for me to handle. There are so many HTML codes available for furthering the content but again the lack of support from this service is disheartening.

Anyways I am updating the link and index page.

Google Pages do not support adsense adverts ???

I have tried getting a few advertisements onto my Home Pages through my affiliation with Adsense and I was dissappionted to find that I can't have this thing here in Google Pages. The HTML code I paste here gets deleted as soon as I save it. Or maybe some other thing happens to it which I am, as a novice with HTML and related stuff, not aware of.

I used to find freeservers more rigid but they support this kind of work on their pages. I hope Google keeps up with it's reputation of synthesising their products as per the needs and luxuries of the users. I will be waiting for more from Google !!!

Gmail Drive or GDrive !!!

This thing was fabulous. I couldn't believe it untill I saw it for myself and installed it on my system. It worked perfectly fine with Gmail passowrd being asked for the access of my folders I have saved in the Gmail Drive.

All files and folders can be dragged and dropped into this drive and the file is inturn saved in the Gmail account as an e-mail. The software for this has not been created by Google. The previous versions were blocked as Google has plans to have one of their own.

The one I have provided on my site is the latest version and I just hope that this one is not blocked again. It is still in testing phase so it may have bugs. Usage is at your own risk!

The major constraint for usage will be the bandwidth available. We can surely expect a lot more of this kind to arrive for regular use. Even Microsoft is developing one such thing named as 'Live'.
